Dear Sarah, Dear All,
I just received one of my e-alerts re mentoring and wondered if anyone might
find this link useful. The electronic journal is called Teaching Expertise
and the Editor is Elizabeth Holmes.

Dear Rosalind, Jean and Dear All,
More resources that I hope will find useful - first of all some for Rosalind
knowing you are looking into adult learning theories within (ITT) mentoring.
Have you seen Pedagogy vs. Androgogy: A False Dichotomy? by Holmes, G. and
Abington-Cooper, M. in The Journal of Technology Studies pp. 50-55? It's
really interesting and it's not ajust specific to technology studies. I am
sure you already know the article (1998) by my former colleague Kate Hawkey
at the University of Bath (now Bristol) Mentor Pedagogy and Student Teacher
Professional Development Teaching and Teacher Education 14 (6) 657-670
I can bring you copies Saturday to our M&C SIG Conference in Milton Keynes!
Mentoring in HE - more resources I hope will be useful especially for Jean:
Bergen, D. and Connolly, J. (1988) The Collegial mentor Project: a model for
faculty Research and Scholarship Development, International Journal of
mentoring, 2 (1) pp. 3-8
Johnston, S. and McCormack, C. (1997) Developing Research Potential through
a Structured mentoring Program: issues arising, Higher Education, 33, pp.
251-264
Quinlan, K.M. (1999) Enhancing mentoring and Networking of junior academic
women: what, why and how? Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management,
21 (1) pp.31-42
Best wishes to all,
Sarah
