Haven't been following this but here are some avant-garde that could
have been missed:
the films of Carolee Schneeman and Andrew Norton. Barbara Rubin's
Christmas on Earth (not sure if it is available). Stan Brakhage's The
Act of Seeing with One's Own Eyes, Window Water baby Moving (and
others). Jack Smith's Flaming Creatures.
