I'm rather hesitant to mention this, being male and more importantly
English (our soaps are rather more down to earth - pun intended), but I
happen to know that a storyline from the US daytime soap 'Days of Our
Lives' some years ago featured a buried alive story.
If this helps, I'm guessing it was around 1992/93 (when I spent a year in
NYC and my partner insisted on watching it - OK enough excuses). But it
says something that it has stayed with me all these years. 'Days' is
apparently the only overtly catholic US soap and so the strange - almost
mythical - nature of this schlocky show I found curious.
