Subject: Spain;s CSIC journals online....
Dear colleague,
Since last June 25th the platform Revistas-CSIC (http://revistas.csic.es
<http://revistas.csic.es/>) is publicly accessible through the Internet,
providing access to the electronic edition of the scientific journals
edited by the Spanish Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas,
CSIC (Spanish Council for Scientific Research).
CSIC is the main public research body in Spain, and is involved in
research, development and innovation in Science, Humanities and Social
Sciences. CSIC also has a sustained tradition in publishing, starting
back in 1914 with the Journal of Spanish Philology
In January 2005 the CSIC subscribed the Berlin Declaration on Open
Access to Knowledge in Experimental, Human and Social Sciences. As a
result CSIC starts now the electronic edition of its scientific Journals
in a format open to specialists and society at large, and to all those
interested in Science, Culture and Knowledge.
The platform starts now with 12 of the 32 Journals published by the
CSIC. Our final goal is to provide access to all of them by the end of
2007.
We would appreciate your collaboration to help us to disseminate this
initiative within the academic and social environments you are involved
with.
Thanks a lot for your time and collaboration.
