before gobbling up even more of our rapidly-diminishing countryside, it
might be worth looking at the hundreds of thousands of perfectly
liveable houses sitting empty because they've been deemed not profitable
enough for their landlords to refurbish to let or sell. "never mind the
homeless! if it aint producing surplus value, it's no good to me!"
no wonder the laws on squatting were tightened in the 70s and 80s, and
then again in the 90s - the perfect example of the state and capital
working in harmony for the greater good of the whole community...!
