Starting salary: pro-rata to £29,139, rising annually to £31,840
This is a fixed-term appointment from 1 September 2007 until 20 June 2008.
You will be responsible for:
* contributing to existing modules, including fieldwork, in Geography.
Specific areas of teaching will include: acting module leader for module
on 'Geography, Environment and Society' and contributions to: 'Geography
in the field'; 'Culture, politics and society'; 'Geography, Research and
practice'; dissertation and independent study supervision.
* undertaking such administrative duties as are deemed appropriate by the
Head of Department
*the pastoral needs of students including counselling, welfare and guidance
You should have:
* a good honours degree in Geography or related subject, and a PhD in
Geography (or close to completion)
* experience of teaching at undergraduate level
* the ability to supervise student projects/dissertations
* the expertise to contribute to the current teaching areas in Geography
