Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

Sheila Whiteley, Salford University - "Tangerine trees and marmalade
skies: Cultural agenda or optimistic escapism?"

MacFarlane (NYU), Mark Taylor-Batty (University of Leeds), Stephen Valdez

This event, on the theme of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band,
commemorates the 40th anniversary of the album's release by the Beatles in

academic and wider community, four decades on.
Note: We hope that artist Peter Blake, the creator of the record’s iconic
sleeve, will join us for the occasion.
