medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dan,
I know this is not an answer to your question, but do you know:
_Writing the Wrongs: Women of the Old Testament among Biblical Commentators from Philo through the Reformation_ (Oxford Studies in Historical Theology) by John L. Thompson ? He gives a good overview of the treatment of Jephtah's daughter in medieval exegesis. I don't think he has anything to say about liturgy, though.

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
My thanks to everyone who put me onto leads for medieval (and modern)
readings of the akedah (Gen. 22) last month. Here's another query about
child sacrifice.
Medieval liturgy is something I know little about by am learning by leaps
and bounds because of the members of MR, so I'd like to pose another
question: Does anyone know if or when Judges 11, the story of Jephthah and
his daughter, was ever incorporated into the yearly cycle of readings or
into any facet of the liturgy (perhaps via Hebrews 12:1-2)?
My thanks in advance,
Dan
