The National Library of Scotland is currently wishing to recruit a Digital Mapping Assistant. This is a fixed-term appointment for six months, with a possible extension for up to one year. Quoting from the advert:
"You will assist with the online development of digital mapping applications and related services for the Library's users. We want you to possess good communication, problem-solving and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate a commitment to team working. You will be flexible and able to work to deadlines. Experience of working with Geographic Information Systems and/or image software and working with electronic databases or metadata for information retrieval are essential. Knowledge of Scottish history and geography would be an advantage."
Salary: £16,066-£20,484 per annum.
