Hi,
In our first degree at IADE, ALL theoretical courses require writing an

means that, in the first year the students will write something about:
History of Art and Technique; Semiotics and Communication; Anthropology;
Philosophy of Art and Design.
In the second year: Discursive Techniques and Advertising, Modernism and
Artistic Vanguards; Contemporary Design; Creativity Theory; Material Culture
and Symbol.
In the third Year: Contemporary Art and Culture; Design Theory History;
Marketing and Entrepreneurship; History of Design in Portugal .
These are courses in which the professors are trained field academics, so
they are suposed also to train the students in find research problems and
deal with them.
Are the results satisfactory?
Not yet, but the outstanding students do a wonderful job.
Students are also assessed by a test.
Cheers,
Eduardo
