Yes I agree, in fact I used it as the jumping off point for a paper I
wrote some 17 years ago on 'Communication and Certainty'. The
arguments in that paper were used in turn as a central part of the
paper I gave at the 'Common Ground' DRS conference called 'Designing
Philosophy', that in turn has led to a number of other published
contributions.
Like you, I converge on the centrality of conversation and dialogue.
You are, of course, correct that the term is 'incommensurable', not
'incommensurate'. Quite different, and very naughty of me!
