Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone can suggest pertinent (non)fiction/
(non)narrative films that explicitly engage with the tropes
and objects of distance travel (the more intensively the
better)? Any time period, but particularly the first half of
the 20thC.
I'm thinking along the lines of themes such as navigation;
adventure; import/ export; the picture postcard; postage stamp
collecting; souvenirs; foreign objects; dream; the attraction
of travel, the “new place” and the different objects one might
encounter there; journey/ return/ visit/ wanderings
thanks for any suggestions!
Shannon
