Interestingly enough, I just finished a short that tries to take a
little artistic license to the idea of thesis, antithesis, and
synthesis. The idea for it came to me in philosophy class, while
talking about Hegel as an introduction to Marx and dialectic
materialism. It's just two minutes of your time, and if you find it
interesting you could always leave a comment.
Anyway, the intro to the short is this:
The third short in the series "Movies from Ephesus" deals with the
dialectic relationship between reality and fiction. What is real
exists because its opposite exists, and respectively, what's not real
exists thanks to the fact that what is real exists. Though what would
happen if you could unify reality and unreality, create something that
was both at once? Like in any dialectic relationship, a synthesis is
imminent; leading us to ask: what now?
