Dear Miss Goddard,
I am doing a study on silver-based wound dressings and need help with
the following questions I must answer. I read an exerpt on the evidence
grading system used by the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine and
thought that you could help me.
Would a grade recommendation for a specific modality that reports
level 4 studies or extrapolations from level 2 or 3 studies be "C"? (The
article I read only included a couple of the grade ratings.)
Also, which do you consider to be the best alternative to in vitro
studies on the efficacy of silver-impregnated dressings: comparison
studies, or literature review?
If you can help me, I would be most appreciative.
Thank you,
Marci Leake, RN
