Principal Medical Statistician-NIHR Portfolio (two posts)
Full-time/Part-time (Minimum 50% fte)
The Clinical Trials Research Unit at the University of Leeds is a leader in the field of clinical trials research. The Unit conducts national and international randomised clinical trials in a variety of clinical fields (cancer, cardiovascular disease and care of the elderly) and has an associated methodological research portfolio.
This is a joint initiative, funded by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, to develop a portfolio of clinical trials research in areas including cardiovascular disease, imaging, musculoskeletal disease and dentistry. We are looking to appoint two Principal Statisticians to support the development of the Portfolio.
With a postgraduate qualification in Statistics (MSc/PhD), you will have considerable experience in complex clinical trials, project management and people management skills and a nationally recognised research profile in clinical trials and medical statistics.
The post is available for a fixed term of 3 years, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.
