POSITION: Senior Statistician
LOCATION: Home Counties UK
SALARY: £ Competitive plus a comprehensive benefits package
My client, a global pharmaceutical company, are recruiting a Senior Statistician. You will be fully responsible for one or more clinical trials, which could also involve providing results for summary documents. The role is based in the South East but you will also work with biostatisticians and programmers across different locations. You will have close contact with the clinical teams through the trial teams.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITES:
You will be responsible for protocol development, Case Report Form review, randomization, review of Clinical Data Management documents, writing of the Statistical Analysis Plan, blind review before database lock, Statistical Analysis and QC of statistical programming. You may work on several clinical trials at the same time and be asked to write the statistical section of the Clinical Study Report. The role will also involve supervision of the work of CROs when the study is contracted out and assisting the Project Statisticians with Preparation of Summary Documents.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You will have education to the Masters level. It is necessary to have an understanding of ICH E3 and ICH E9 and be able to apply analysis of variance in a parallel group and cross-over design plus be able to apply 1 additional topic in statistics (e.g. logistic regression or extension to categorical data, survival, non-parametric analysis, repeated measures).
Experience in clinical trial related SAS programming required. You will be a keen learner with the ability to communicate precise instructions with accuracy. You should be able to explain statistics in a non-technical manner to clinicians and show an active participation toward learning new statistical concepts.
