Call for entries for the Tribal technical innovation award. The theme of
the award is 'using technology to make a difference in UK libraries'.
Nominations are sought from libraries in all sectors where the use of
technology in a recently implemented project has made a significant
difference to the customer experience. This may include self service
applications, RFID implementations, automation of processes or any
implementation or use of technology which has improved the customer
experience or created a more dynamic or efficient library experience.
The project must have been launched and implemented since July 2005 and
still be in use today. To considered for the award, you must have used new
technology to the benefit of library processes and procedures and customer
experience.
Nominations are welcomed from all sectors. The judging panel will include
CILIP President elect Ian Snowley, Hackney head of libraries Nicola Baker
and Tribal business development manager Jaz Virdi.

The closing date is Thursday 31 May 2007 and the award will be presented
at the Umbrella 2007 awards dinner on the evening of Thursday 28 June.
