Dear Toshi,
Congratulations on your move! And, by the way thanks for lending your support to our SAFOD project. Hope to visit you in wonderful Hiroshima.
All the best.

Dear Geo-Tectonics subscribers
27 April 2007
This is Toshi Shimamoto, now from Hiroshima University.
I have moved from Kyoto University to this university as of 1 April 2007.
I worked for this university from 1977 to 1989, so I have come back
after 17 years (9 years at Earthquake Research Institute, University of
Tokyo and 8 years at Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University). My 8
years in Kyoto was very fruitful with good students, and thank you for your
association with us in many different ways.
I am trying to move 5 machines to Hiroshima, hoping to establish a
rock deformation laboratory here in the last 3 years as a university
faculty. Hiroshima is also a nice place (my homeland!) and please do visit
me here.
Best regards,
Toshi
