Paul,
At Birmingham Children's Hospital we use a protein/creatinine ratio of
less than 20 mg/mmol for children aged 2-18y. This was based on a study
I did many years ago on about 300 'normal' children across this age
range.

Subject: urine protein reference ranges
The current CKD guidelines effectively use 45 mg/mmol as the upper limit
of
normal for a urine protein creatinine ratio. Have most laboratories
moved
over this as the upper limit of normal and what ranges are people
quoting
in paediatric samples?
Thank you for your help.
