I too am in favour of a more "sustained conversation" about wicked problems.
I would like to suggest, however, that a workshop or symposium, might not be
sustained enough.
I'd like to suggest that we start with a wiki that would have 2 major sections:
1. gather/collate current viewpoints & positions on wicked problems. This
would require, for instance, distilling this email thread into a summary
narrative. It would also allow individuals to discover what aspects or facets
of the overall topic they are most interested in.
2. design the workshop/symposium by defining how topics for 'sessions' will
map to issues or concerns or facets of the topic.
The wiki should run for a time before *and after* the workshop, to allow the
content to be refined.
...just an idea.
Cheers.
