what a relief to have someone mention a band or two that I also adore!
I've been on a modest spree of exploration with music for about 2
years (modest because my funds are limited), & have a list of about
forty bands I need to investigate.
but Iron & Wine have been a favourite for over a year (I think I
prefer 'Our endless numbered days' to their furst full-length), &
'Fading trails' by M.E.Co. is absolutely haunting in its folk force &
melancholy ('Old Horizon' is the saddest song I've ever heard).
many indie names have brushed my consciousness too, I enjoy that realm
of rock/pop/folk, broad though it is.
