I replied to Lauchlan off list but thought others may be interested
in my response to his request:
1) The U. of Toronto's Rotman School of Management designed a Master
of Business Design (MBD). The Dean of the School, Roger Martin, has
written and spoken extensively in this area.
2) A conference at Case Western Reserve U. titled 'Managing as
Designing' resulted in a book of the same name published by Stanford
Business Books (2004) and edited by Richard J. Boland Jr. and Fred
Collopy.
3) The Leadership Development Program at the Banff Centre in Alberta,
Canada focused recently on Leadership as Design. An example of some
of the ideas that have grown out of this event can be found at:
http://ckua.com (follow the prompts in 'select a program' to
INSPIRING LEADERSHIP: hear most recent show #9 as an example).
4) Many programs focused on 'innovation' in business and government
are influencing and influenced by design thinking.
