I have just done a work place assessment on an employee diagnosed with dry
eye syndrome. She is an IT consultant, working for 6 hours per day, 5 days
per week. The work area appears to be satisfactory. The office is open
plan, NO air conditioning and the employee is using prescribed drops as
well as alternative treatments / supplements to try and help her
condition. Obviously the nature of her job requires her to spend a large
proportion of her time at the computer and this is what gives her the most
problems. If anyone has come across this situation before and can offer
any suggestions to help, I would be very grateful. The idea of a
humidifier has been discussed, but are they of any value and where does
one go about getting one from?
Best wishes,
Alison
