Hi Nicole,
Thought you might be interested to know that we have recently (in the last
fortnight) been in contact with Westlaw yet again about Gateway compliance.
We were very disappointed to discover that 'sometime early 2007' has become
summer 2007 to coincide with their new platform release. It's not what we
wanted to hear, and it's definitely a change to what they said before.
We already have one workaround in place for Westlaw access, a generic
username and password for all our first years who do not have classic
Athens accounts. We are now looking at a second workaround using EZProxy
for off campus access for all our users. We want to ditch classic Athens
accounts entirely this summer, and we can't wait for Westlaw to get their
act together. Unfortunately we can't cancel their product either... hence
the workarounds.
