Dunno what's deep and what's not but I always found Anthony Mann's The
Naked Spur a very good exploration of the implications of prisoner's
dilemma-type situations. Often the movies that are deepest
philosophically aren't those that have explicit reference to
philosophical matters or by filmmakers with any awareness of philosophy.
Too often explicitly philosophical films are at best obvious
illustrations of philosophical points.
