There is a film by the portuguese auteur Manoel de Oliveira entitled "The
Divine Comedy" which is astonishing for it's deepness. The film is about a
group of people at an insane treating institution. Those people believe they
are other historical/fictional figures: Adam and Eve, Napoleon, The
Philosopher Nietzsche , The Prophet (a religious/spiritual lider),
Raskolnikov, Sonia and Elena Ivanovna and Isabel Ivanovna (from Crime and
Punishment), Jesus, a Pharisee (belonging to the Jew school of the same
name), Aliosha (from The Brothers Karamazov), Mother Mary... The best parts
are the conversations between the Nietzsche character and the Prophet,
totally recomended for everyone on film-philosophy and specially those
searching for explicit deep philosophy movies.
