As a freelance indexer I have been urged by a message posted this morning on
our discussion group to write to the European Commission in response to the
Green Paper on Labour Law.
"According to the Professional Contractors Group (PGC) the Green Paper fails
to understand freelancing fully and PCG fears that future measures based on
it could threaten the
existence of freelancing as we know it. A full news story is at
www.pcg.org.uk/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2245&Itemid=1".
Does anyone know if others have expressed similar concerns on this? Is it
really going to affect our status as self-employed people?
As the deadline for submissions is the end of next week I would be grateful
for any comments and/or advice.
Many thanks,
Rohan
