The Centre for Market and Public Organisation (CMPO, Department of
Economics), Centre for Multilevel Modelling (CMM, Graduate School of
Education) and Department of Social Medicine are jointly seeking to recruit
a Senior Researcher. The post is within the ESRC funded project ?An
Examination of the Impact of Family Socio-Economic Status on Outcomes in
Late Childhood and Adolescence? and focuses on the methodological
development and application of statistical modeling and estimation
techniques, including instrumental variables estimation, multilevel
modeling and treatment of missing data. You will preferably have completed
a PhD, having considerable experience in methodological and applied
research within statistics and/or econometrics with a good grasp of the
issues involved in applied social science. Good computer skills are
essential, both in terms of data handling and programming, with experience
of MLwiN, Stata and Gauss or equivalent desirable.
If successful, you may be appointed either on a fixed term or a permanent
contract depending on the extent of your previous relevant research

Salary: £36,912
Contract: Fixed Term Contract, 5 years
The University is developing a new grade structure that will be applied
across most staff groups. All jobs are currently being evaluated and we
