There is, of course, an automatic way of doing this via Word and a
glossary (or index) may appeal to examiners. Consider the high freqeuncy
items in your text and key terms and especially note if there is a
cluster of definitions around the terms that you want examiners to
appreciate, e.g. user-centred - you may have a series of key
characteristics - it pays to collect these together under an entry.
