Dear All
I am fairly new to OH and my current role is providing first aid cover
to employees on a construction site, which I have been doing and
referring anybody to A&E or their GP as appropriate.
The question I would like to ask is can I legally provide more
treatment as I have eight years experience working in Accident and
Emergency and four of those years as a Emergency Nurse Practitioner. I
have been told that I can not use normal saline to clean wounds because
it has to be prescribed by a doctor.
I feel I am fully proficient at dealing with minor injuries and I am
fully aware of my capabilities.
Kind Regards
Neil Poole
