The reason why I asked is because the outline does not speak of a PhD
programme. A PhD is a training in research, yet the word 'research'
is not used once in the proposal! On the other hand what you propose
- doctoral level art and design practice - could make a good
professional doctorate without the necessity for such deep training
in research. The two modes, and what they try to achieve, should not
be confused.
There have of course been many debates on this list about this very
subject stretching back several years.
