Results are stored as probabilistic (or "fuzzy" or "soft")
segmentations; the voxel intensity (between 0 and 1, before
modulation) in a particular tissue's result can be interpreted as the
probability of that voxel belonging to that tissue class.
I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean by modal or random hard
classification. There is some stuff about converting soft to hard
