Dear colleagues,
We are keen to hear of experiences with plasma screen technology in public
libraries, whether for advertising or other use. If used for advertising is
it library publicity, district or county council information or made
available to any business who wishes to buy advertising time?
What are people’s views on the use of this technology to promote external
organisations? Does the potential revenue outweigh the traditional ethos of
the library as a neutral space?
Also does anyone use plasma screens for showing films/TV, playing computer
games or music in addition to, or separately from advertising?
Any experiences and comments welcome!
