Colleagues
In case you are interested in what's happening in Australia:
"The Australian Government has begun the process of developing a
National Action Plan for Education for Sustainable Development (NAP
ESD). The objective of the Plan is to contribute to the achievement of
a more sustainable Australia through community education and learning.
For a brief overview of the NAP ESD development process, please see the
attached document.
We are keen to ensure that all groups and organisations with an
interest in education, learning and capacity building for
sustainability are aware of the development of the Plan, and have an
opportunity to contribute. We invite you to assist us where appropriate
to:
1. Distribute this email and attached summary document to your networks
and, where possible, publicise via your newsletters, websites etc
2. Respond to the online survey on the current status and needs of the
sectors involved in education for sustainable development, education
for sustainability and environmental education, and encourage others
with an interest in the area to respond. The survey closes on Friday 16
February 2007 and can be accessed via:
3. Keep up to date with the latest developments on the NAP ESD website:

If you circulate this information to your network, please let us know!
You can email the details of who you have contacted to:
<mailto:[log in to unmask]>[log in to unmask] .
This will help us keep track of who has been informed about the NAP,
and to identify interested groups and any gaps in our distribution.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are having difficulty
accessing the survey, or require a pdf version.
We look forward to your input.
