J. Appl. Cryst.
I have used it for things which I think need publishing, but are of more
abstract subjects and less direct interest to the biological
crystallography.
However, politics and finances may dictate otherwise. Acta D has for
some reason a rather poor impact rating, and J. Appl. Cryst. a rather
better one. I am 'encouraged' towards using J. Appl. Cryst. even when it
is less suitable for the target audience.
