Dear colleagues,
Discussing an add-on orders for folic acid a friend reminded me of two
things:
1. storage sample under consideration (serum left on top of blood is
troublegiving due to folic acid "leakage" from red blood cells). Clear
message ...
2. storage conditions (should be protected from light as folic acid is
prone to degradation).
Having only a (at best) modest background in organic chemistry, your
hints as to what happens to folic acid in the presence of daylight would
be welcome.
Thank you for your input.
