Pam Crabtree has identified the reference I was looking for:
Lee, R. B. (1968). What hunters do for a living, or how to make out on scarce resources. Man the Hunter. R. B. Lee and I. DeVore. Chicago, Aldine: 30-48.
Table 3 identifies the 'primary', 'major', 'minor', 'supplementary' and 'rare' plant foods eaten by the bushmen.
I have also had a couple of other suggestions which I will follow up.
Thanks very much, Pam!

You may want to look at Lee's paper in the Man the Hunter volume.
