Hello,
In one of the discussions that took place in the designing design
support conference, we mentionned the possible role of design support
organizations in disseminating research results to a wider audience.
To put it in brief, few design professionnals -and even less design
users- attend research conferences, as a consequence, many of the
findings have little impact on the practice.
Maybe there is a specific role to play there for those who are
involved in design support, and could interface professionnals with
academia.
Do you see this as something relevant or stupid? If this would be
done, how (for those of you who are in academia) would you see this
happen? What would be the value of doing this?
Ideas and comments are most welcome,
Jean Schneider
