Thanks for picking that one up. As it happens I had seen Peter's award in
the latest CJ.
I have known, and respected Peter, for decades but had not really thought of
him as primarily an historian. I note that the citation does not mention his
historical work, and he is not listed in the 1998 edition of 'Who's Who in
the History of Cartography'.
I wonder if I have missed something. If you feel that he should be recorded
on account of his historical contribution I will of course take a closer
look.
Limitations of space unfortunately force me to be a bit fierce about what
can/can't go in!
