I suspect that some complicated relationships between Bartholomew on
the one hand and Philip and Bacon on the other might emerge one day:
Bartholomew engraved some plates for Philip in the 1870s, and printed
their half-inch material for Bacon in an 'economy' form around
1910-14...
A rich mine for some researcher with easy access to Edinburgh, I
suspect!
