Theoretical postdoctoral position available in molecular physics
University of Aarhus
Denmark
We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in
relation to a joint venture between the ‘molecular physics group’ at The
Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Aarhus, Denmark and the
Lundbeck Foundation Center for Theoretical Chemistry at The Department of
Chemistry, University of Aarhus, Denmark.
The successful candidate will have a PhD, preferably in theoretical
physics/chemistry. The position aims at a candidate who can work
theoretically with structure and electronic-level calculations of bio-
molecular chromophores using primarily methods developed in the theory
group applied to systems of interest to the Molecular Physics group.
The research is interdisciplinary and the successful candidate must show
interest in chemistry, physics, and to some degree biology. It is expected
that the candidate will work in close collaboration with the theoretical
group at the Chemistry Department at the University of Aarhus.
More about the groups may be found at http://www.phys.au.dk/molecular/ and
http://www.chem.au.dk/~teo/.
The position is for one year.
The position is available from 1 April 2007.
Applications, accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae and names of
references, as well as requests for further information should be addressed
