Dear Colleagues,
This follow up announcement is your reminder to prepare and participate in
the XXI Dynamics of Molecular Collisions Conference, chaired by David W.
Chandler and vice-chaired by Anne McCoy July 8-13, 2007 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
This year’s conference highlights the recent work, both experimental and
theoretical, in the broad subject of Dynamics of Molecular Collisions in the
gas phase, from solid surfaces, and at interfaces. The 2007 conference will
be dedicated to Professor Richard N. Zare’s contributions to the field of
Chemical Dynamics and will also include the inauguration of the Dudley R.
Herschbach Award for Excellence in the study of Chemical Dynamics.
The overall program consists of approximately forty invited lectures (see
website for list of invited speakers), a newly added HOT TOPIC Session
(consisting of four short 20-minute lectures), and several Poster Sessions
(approximately 100 contributed posters on current research interest in
Chemical Dynamics and related areas).
Please register and make your abstract submissions soon. A complete listing
of the invited speakers, registration forms, poster submission information,
and hotel accommodation is given on the Conference web site:
http://dynamicsofmolecularcollision.org/
<http://dynamicsofmolecularcollision.org/> . Note on your abstract if you
would like it considered for the newly added Hot Topics Session in addition
to your poster presentation.
The Meeting will be held at the historic La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, New
Mexico. The hotel has limited number of rooms, awarded on a
first-come-first-serve basis. To register for a room at the La Fonda please
go to the website:
http://www.dynamicsofmolecularcollision.org/Accomodations.html
<http://www.dynamicsofmolecularcollision.org/Accomodations.html> .
Further details on travel awards and a special registration rate for
students and postdoctoral fellows in order to defray cost are also available
on the web site.
A $50 late registration fee will be added to the registration beginning May
1, 2007. After the La Fonda hotel is full, satellite hotel information will
be made available.
We look forward to an exciting and stimulating meeting July 8 through the
13th in the gorgeous setting of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Sincerely,
Chair, David W. Chandler & Vice-Chair, Anne McCoy
DMC Secretary, Jacquie Reardon
