*apologies for cross posting*
I am writing an essay for my MA in library and information studies about
encouraging boys to read, focusing on involving them in reading groups, and I
was hoping that those of you involved in running any kind of library/reading
activity for ages 8-16 could answer a few questions in as much depth as you
like:
1. What kind of group is it? (regularity/length of meetings/age
range/name of
group)
2. How many boys and girls on average and is it the same group every
session?
3. Do the boys get as involved as the girls?
4. How do you choose what to read? Do the children have any say?
5. Any thoughts on how libraries can get boys reading?
Thanks for your time
