Dr Attia
You might find some helpful materials on teaching EBM
to medical students on the Family Medicine Digital
Resources Library (FMDRL.org) – just search under
“Evidence-Based medicine”. Two resources on EBM on
fmdrl include:
Use of the Fresno Test for Evidence-Based Medicine
(EBM)

Answering Clinical Questions Teaching Points
http://fmdrl.org/139
I’ve been working on teaching clinical EBM to medical
students during a primary care clerkship – emphasizing
developing questions from clinical work, and
presenting answers for group discussion. This project
is still a work-in-progress, but I do have one small
article out on EBM for med students at:
Cayley WE Jr. Evidence-based medicine for medical
students: introducing EBM in a primary care rotation.
Wisconsin Medical Journal. 2005 Apr;104(3):34-7.
A few other resources that I’ve come across which
might be helpful are:
Effect of a PDA-assisted Evidence-based Medicine
Course on Knowledge of Common Clinical Problems.

I hope this information is helpful – As I said, this
is an area I’ve been working on for a bit, too, and
I’d be interested in keeping in touch.
Thanks!
