medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
From: John McChesney-Young <[log in to unmask]>
> A wonderful new bibliographical record-keeping extension to Firefox
2.0 has recently been released to the public after some months in
private beta.
thanks for all this, John. i hope to be able to look into it more closely
soon.
looks like my Bibliography for my little 35 year-old project has reached The
Tipping Point and i'll have to start using some dedicated program for it.
>I have to say, the bizarrely inconsistent results of Google
Books searches, the uneven quality of the scans, and other problems
with the project make Gallica look *very* good.
i'll have to agree with that.
though i never thought i'd have much good to say about Gallica.
Google has Re-Invented the Wheel, as an Octagon.
it looks like, a few months ago, Gallica "fixed" the site --which was not
seriously broken-- and now the only real way to quickly use it is to download
the whole danged book you want and do your own trolling through it with
Acrobat.
