Under the provisions of Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 Worcestershire are undertaking a Race Equality Impact Assessment of our library policies and procedures. Our understanding is that this is a duty for all Council's to undertake these assessments for all service areas, including libraries. Worcestershire has taken the decision to broaden its assessments to include disability, age and gender as well as race.
Has any library undergone this process already and would you be prepared to share your assessment or offer advice? If so please contact me direct and I will summarise for the list.
Thank you
