medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Thank you cordially, Mrs. Filotas.
I have read with real pleasure an Internet version of your book "Pagan
Survivals, Superstitions, and Popular Cultures in Early Medieval Pastoral
Literature Studies and Texts" - http://www.pims.ca/pdf/st151.pdf
The medieval Dualism, especially Bogomils and Cathars, was an astonishing
example of "interculturalte", to use this beatiful French term(may
be "interculturality" in English). That means creative interactions
between diffierent cultures, civilizations, and even religion. Just the
opposite of "clash between civilizations". I dare to inform our
colleagues, who are inclined to undertake such an adventure, that a lot
material is accumulated in my book "Dualist Ideas in the English Pre-
Reformation and Reformation (Bogomil-Cathar Influence on Wycliffe,
Tyndale, Langland and Milton)".Sofia, 2005.
Dear colleagues, please, understand me, I am not making publicity of my
work. I am just offering to your attention and to your personal judgement
am serious amount of facts may be underestimated till know. You can
neglect my global view and draw your own.
