Yes, that's certainly true. Yesterday I came across a lovely photo of
a hand in the process of turning a page, and a Henry Bradshaw Society
book I was looking at this morning turned out to have several
duplicate sets of preliminary page images, followed by the preface
missing the first several pages. The good news is that Google does
include a feedback link (and as I recall Al Magary discovered last
year that Google does pull "defective" books); the bad news is that I
doubt Google rushes out and re-photographs reported problem volumes.
Vulgate fans might like to know that Ranke's edition of Codex
Fuldensis is on-line. It appears to be complete and the page images
are decent, too.
