Yo guys,
A while back I thought it would be a good idea to run the replica
manager, now Lancaster's dcache is suffering The Invasion of The File
Replications, where replica's are using up more space then we'd like
them to. I tried to clear this up a bit by reducing the number of
replications from 2-3 copies of each file to 1-2, in the dcache book
the replica manager is advertised to clear up excess replications, but
we haven't noticed it freeing up extra space yet.
What is the general GridPP storage stance on running in resiliant
mode? Is it considered a waste of storage space?
cheers,
Matt
