I have an apology to make - I meant to introduce this topic not on 
the whole CETIS-PORTFOLIO list but only on the smaller, 
CETIS-PORTFOLIO-DEV list dedicated to more technical discussion. This 
means that I have broken a rule that we suggested to begin with, that 
is that we should not have more technical discussions on 
CETIS-PORTFOLIO, but have everything understandable to a practitioner 
audience as well as a technical one.

I leave it in your hands. If you feel that any reply to this thread 
would be better on CETIS-PORTFOLIO-DEV, please send it there, not 
here. If you feel you can continue this thread in a way that is 
accessible to an interested practitioner audience as well as a more 
technical one, please reply here. Anyone who is interested in 
technical discussions, and who tolerates a high level of technical 
terminology (XML, RDF, Topic Maps, FOAF, etc. etc. as well as the 
names of the standards and specifications) please ensure you are 
subscribed to CETIS-PORTFOLIO-DEV as well.
